What is life if you have not done a thing beyond the norms to make yourself happy?
Hi reader! I am Sasankaa Gunathilake, the founder and head writer of Quaintrelle’s Quill. QQ, the wordery is my first beyond-the-norm step taken to make myself happy. When QQ was initiated in 2020, I was a recent graduate struggling to live a normal life with my chronic migraine. I needed something to keep myself occupied with the flexibility of taking a nap whenever my migraine decides to interrupt me. Today at the age of twenty-two, I am watching QQ grow as a young mother watches her baby stands up by himself with his little feet.
To introduce myself in brief, I am an avid reader, a passionate writer, an enthusiastic educator, and a doctoral student (Nope, I am not a nerd!). I have to live by the word “Quaintrelle” since I got to know this word and its meaning. A quaintrelle means a woman who emphasizes a life of passion expressed through personal style, leisurely pastimes, charm, and the cultivation of life’s pleasures. She embraces everything that pleases her soul and lets go of the rest. This is the philosophy of my life and I gave that precious name “Quaintrelle” to my first start-up baby.
Suffering from migraines which is an invisible disability, I have realized the importance of inclusion and flexibility to give out my best in any environment. This is why I have developed QQ as a boundaryless virtual organization with the hope of accommodating skillful youth without any restriction on their age, gender, race, or disabilities.
Creativity blooms in the presence of freedom and the QQ team enjoy a maximum level of freedom through flexible working arrangements. Each member of our team has their own story on why they love writing, therefore we all are in love with what we do. We believe that it keeps us ahead of the rest in the industry.
